Dramatic Eyelid Reconstruction After Skin Cancer
A 49-year-old male patient was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (BCC) on the right lower eyelid. He underwent Mohs micrographic surgery to remove the cancer, followed by eyelid reconstruction to restore both function and appearance.
To repair the affected area, a full-thickness skin graft was performed, with the graft harvested from the area behind the patient’s ear. The post-operative image, taken one year after the procedure, demonstrates excellent healing and aesthetic results. The patient was extremely pleased with the outcome.
